Most of you know that in the past I've both trained and dieted myself to ill-health. The more I pushed myself in the gym, the less mineral reserves I ended up with. Hence my legacy to the clients I've met along the way has always been that its wiser to put 100% effort into regenerating health rather than racking up the gym hours or counting calories. How did I know I'd damaged my thyroid before I knew the tests I use nowadays? Well I displayed some of the symptoms in the "hypo" side of the picture above;
- Thinning eyebrow hair
- Loss of lower leg hair
- Muscle aches
- Weight gain
- Dry skin
- Arthritis
So, the signs of your dysfunctional body may be facing you in the mirror everyday. If so, its time to stop punishing the body and depleting it even further. Tell your weight-watchers leader to go stuff themselves (which they probably do behind closed doors anyway), fire your personal trainer, and give the boot camp leader the boot. Take control of your own health, learn about the signs to spot and learn how to rebalance your body.
