I'm going to trial this arrangement for 3 months but would need to ask for that commitment as I would be ordering specifically and in advance to fill the order. If you want to place an order, payment needs to be made in advance, I'm not doing this for profit (you know my business sense). I'm just making sure my supply arrives each month without fail and making it easier for you all to get the protein you need in your diet. The more I study its uses, the more essential it becomes in my diet (even more than meat and you all know I like my lamb and bacon).
The more people that order the cheaper it will get. When I ordered just one for myself I paid £27 which is cheaper than most people pay for protein shakes. Some of the quality protein shakes many have used (their okish but I have never considered them good enough to consume myself) are around £40 a month. I don't want to have mass orders, so its limited to those of you that I know due to customs and not wanting to be responsible for too many orders etc.

This bit gets a bit deep, I know you know I take gelatin, and most of you kind of understand why, I just wanted to give a little more detail. Yes its a protein, yes its probably the safest source of protein we can (and should) consume, but it has some very important factors. I don't tend to go into this too much when I see you as your eyes would glaze over. Some of you do know it is there to help me (or us) regulate your thyroid function, which in turn helps stabilize your stress hormone (cortisol) and your blood sugar. For years I've used metabolic typing to maintain balance in blood sugar and cortisol very effectively. One false move though and it comes back to bite, many of you suffer huge work stress (some of you get huge stress from sports like me) which then means huge amounts of cortisol ripping through your bodies damaging tissue and cell structure, whilst also causing blood sugar issues.
By balancing your thyroid (with my new dietary studies) it gives us greater ability to withstand the stresses of daily life without it effecting blood sugar, cortisol levels and causing weight gain, sickness and disease.
Why is Gelatin so important in our diet? Ray Peat is a biologist whose work I have been studying and attempting to link in with the work I already do using metabolic typing. Ray describes how amino acids are so called "essential" for their significant roles in growth (we all know we need protein to maintain muscle mass), staying healthy and healthy brain development amongst other factors.
Studies indicate that as we age we need less of the amino acids tryptophan and cysteine. Restricting these amino acids has been shown to provide a greater extension of our life spans than of that via caloric restriction (we are often told that those eating too much die earlier). Peat cites work by Clive McKay from the 1930's.
These two amino acids cause inhibition of our thyroid function and a loss of ability to deal with stress. Tryptophan, is the precursor to serotonin which has inflammatory effects within the body.
Gelatin has no tryptophan and tiny amounts of cysteine and makes it easy to maintain dietary protein, whilst avoiding the amoino acids we need to restrict. What it does contain is glycine and proline which help form collagen. Collagen protects the body by inhibiting tumor growth and helping wounds heal (good job I'm already on it).
Years ago we got adequate gelatin in our diet via traditional foods such as broths, in which the whole carcass was utilized allowing us to receive the correct amino acid balance. The Sally Fallon cookbook (and myself) have long suggested this way of eating.
In this modern world we tend to live solely on muscle meats. Slabs of meat that contain no collagen etc, so the amino acid balance is wrong (its actually causing stress within our bloodstream). The tryptophan disrupts the thyroid (master regulator/metabolism) and also causes serotonin production which stimulates cortisol (stress hormone) production (something non of us need).
Gelatin has many uses, which is why I take it, and why I recommend it to you all. It promotes natural sleep, memory and learning difficulty improvements. Helps prevent cell stress, free radical damage, inflammation, cell death from Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) depletion. ATP is the transport mechanism for chemical energy for the metabolism within cells, so you can see how the metabolism suffers. Calcium overload (heart issues), diabetes, chronic fatigue/excess cortisol, plus a whole lot more.
