Stories and myths hold true to most of our emotions, being told that animal fat is bad and then having stories told about how Dr X found fat in arteries proves nothing but it does feed the fear amongst us. Remember Dr X would of probably be cutting open an individual that has eaten many many things (processed packet foods, sweets, sugar, soft drinks etc etc) and not just animal fat. Trying to back up a myth with supposed evidence, (remember its just I think, not I know) just plays into the hands of our emotions and we unconsciously join up the dots.
Sadly, for most of us anyway, we forget to ask for actual evidence. The moral of the story, if anyone tells you a food based story, check the facts.
