
I'm making good progress and am now allowed to weight bear (100% if I can handle it) but still need to use the crutches at the moment as the heel lifts make it a tad awkward to walk, plus it feels pretty sore as I've not had that much of a stretch on my Achilles since 3pm on the day I snapped it.
I'm allowed to remove the boot at night but must put it straight back on if I need to get up due to the risk of re-rupture if I did fall on it. At the moment I'm still planning on wearing the boot all night as it feels a little vulnerable and I'd rather have it protected. I'm sure I'll get a little more confident as it gets a little more exposure. For now its just nice to be able to sort of walk on it. If your reading this Alan, I should be more mobile for Monday so you have a nice new exercise to try.
